ROOM 10 - WAR
We begin with the helmet signed by Charlie Sheen, the lead actor in Platoon.
Next to it, another iconic helmet: the one from Full Metal Jacket, signed by Matthew Modine, who plays the main character.
This is the exact same model featured in the original movie poster, with the iconic phrase: Born to Kill.
We continue with a sharp piece: the knife from Rambo II, signed by Sylvester Stallone.
And since not everything could be about the army… we’ve also included a pilot glove signed by one of the characters from Top Gun: Hollywood. (A nod to this very exhibition). The glove includes a quote he says to Tom Cruise during the risky landing scene at sea.
And at the center of the display case, the helmet signed by Gary Sinise, the actor who played Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump.
This piece goes beyond cinema. Alongside the helmet, you’ll see a rosary that appears throughout the film and two dog tags.
But these tags aren’t just props: they are real identification tags from a Vietnam medical lieutenant.
That’s no coincidence. Gary Sinise is deeply involved in charitable causes supporting veterans, and he wanted to pay tribute in a meaningful way through his role.
He asked a relative of the veteran to lend him these real dog tags… and they’re the ones he wore during filming.
A small gesture — but one loaded with deep meaning.
AND SPEAKING OF FORREST GUMP…
We’ve recreated the iconic Forrest Gump bench and its full setting.
