ROOM 2 - FANTASY
In this room, we step into the world of fantasy… and magic.
When thinking about which object could represent Harry Potter, the first thing that comes to mind is the wand. But of course… a wand is quite small, and hard to sign.
In fact, just behind you, you can see a sample wand—Viktor Krum’s, the famous Bulgarian Seeker who ends up dating Hermione. His signature is on the box, because the wand itself couldn’t be signed. But a signature on the box isn’t the same—it doesn’t touch the object, and it loses the magic (pun intended).
That’s why we chose something iconic, with enough space for a signature: Harry Potter’s glasses, signed by Daniel Radcliffe. Alongside them, you’ll also see his scarf and, of course, his wand.
There’s another treasure in this display case: the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the entire magical universe.
Next to it, two signed photographs—one of Dumbledore, the champion of good, and one of Voldemort, who also came to possess it.
Why this duality? Because this wand has no morality of its own. If it’s held by someone good… it can do great good. But if it falls into the wrong hands… it can bring destruction.
By the way, Voldemort’s wand is usually white—but if you look closely at the photo, you’ll see he’s holding this very wand.
At the end of the saga (spoiler alert!), Harry ends up with it—and breaks it—because it’s too powerful. (This is the wand that gave him the scar on his forehead.)
You’ll also see the Sorting Hat and the Marauder’s Map, which we’ve placed outside the case so you can appreciate how large it actually is.
